At this year’s Druck+Form trade fair (Hall 6, Stand 6412) in Sinsheim / Germany, MB Bäuerle, the company that offers innovative solutions in the field of print finishing, will be presenting its fully automatic folder prestigeFOLD NET 52 – a machine with a high degree of operator convenience and CIP4-capability. The extraordinarily complex automatic setting feature positions the setting elements for the flat pile feeder, fold plate stops, deflectors, fold rollers, alignment rails and delivery rollers. A touch screen is the interactive operator interface. 20 standard folds are pre-programmed and instantly recallable. A memory with setting data for more than 200 jobs allows the set-up of repeat jobs in a very short time.
MB Bäuerle has also developed an inline folding system especially for the clever finishing of digital prints. A special feature of this inline folding system that is based on folder model multipli 35 is the fact that customized documents such as delivery notes or mailings can be directly processed by means of a professional industrial printer, because the printed documents are transferred directly to the alignment table of the folding machine and then folded. The prior alignment ensures a precise fold. Other advantages of this system are short processing times in connection with pulsed applications as well as its compact design.
The multipageMAILER allows the production of an individual cover letter with matching envelope in a single pass. Consequently the target group-specific addressing of mailings from print run one has become a reality. Feeding takes place either by means of a cut sheet pre-loader, continuously from a roll or directly from a digital printing system. Processing is made possible by a patented accumulator which collects the different elements of the mailing in accordance with a specific procedure before the mailing is folded to its final size in the fully automatic folding system prestigeFOLD NET. The integrated fold unit can also be used for normal folding jobs, thus ensuring the highest possible flexibility of the complete system. A camera system in connection with a diverter guarantees permanent security during the entire production cycle, making sure that only impeccable documents reach the delivery section. In connection with the innovative possibilities of digital printing, the multipageMAILER opens up new approaches in the production of mailings. The individual design of the envelope in agreement with its contents results in maximising the advertising message and consequently leads to a significantly higher response rate. An advertising supplement can, for example, be added to an invoice, and then mailed in an individually designed envelope.
